"Dust diffuses our essence through the commodities of banal routine. But like the dust we'll
rise and dance to a mysterious tune."
This project is a comission by natuzzi, an italian furniture company, who invited designers
to redesign their iconic Sound Chair for "A Chair Affair".
Instead of changing the upholstery or reassembling it, I envisioned a completely different
experience of the chair, which already offers a little bit of musical privacy through integrated
speakers. My contribution called "denebula" responds to this music with its feathery robot arms.
These start to turn upon sounds, as if they were dancing. Then if a person sits down on it they
fold down and cover you with feathers and stroke or dust you.
